What's New

To better serve our patients we have now updated our official website. This website was originally created in 1998. This shows that Dr. Harrison has consistently been on the cutting edge of technology.

It is our mission to make you, the patient, as comfortable as possible, while using current technology. These new additions to our office reflect that commitment:

  • Diagnodent Laser Cavity Detector - This technology painlessly and quickly detects and rates areas of decay that may otherwise be mistaken as stains. Dr. Harrison practices progressive dentistry - meaning we believe in filling areas of decay (cavities) while they are small. This saves more tooth structure for the patient and can prevent such problems such as root canals, etc.
  • Massage / Heat Chair Mats - Do you have a bad back? Are you frequently cold? Our massage mats can help you relax or stay warm. From day one these have been a patient favorite!
  • Eye Masks - Gel eye masks are available to help relieve headaches and sinus pressure/pain while you are in our office.
  • Special Stereo Headphones - These are available for patients who prefer their own music or do not like dental sounds. Just ask and we will be happy to oblige!

The most exciting prior development in our practice has been the completion of our new office in August of 2000. This office was the culmination of two years of detailed planning. Great care was taken to make sure the office we envisioned for you, our patient, was built to our specifications. Please click on the page titled "Our Office" to see more detail and pictures.

Listed below are some examples of what our current office has and does for you, our patient:

  • Our computer network has expanded to all operatories and the consult room. This means that you can see your dental images saved for comparison, education, and many others reasons. Your images are right there on the screen. In this day and age this is important for many reasons. Technology is not just e-mail and websites. It also means updated, current dental health!

  • TVs are in all patient areas including dental treatment rooms, consult room, reception area, and the kids' corner. This helps you relax as you choose your favorite movie or TV show. We even have cable! This also helps us share patient education tapes and your dental images with you. This TV network is tied into our state of the art computer network.

  • Our intra oral cameras are also tied into this computer-TV network. These cameras help you see your teeth in a clear way much easier to understand than traditional x-rays. We can save dental images in our computers and show them on the computer or on the TV screens. This complex network of TVs, computers, and cameras took much time and care to implement.

  • A self-contained water system is standard in our office. While this is not new for us, it is new to the public as the media has recently discussed the topic. For years now, even in our old office, we have had this water system. This means that all the water we use in your mouth is distilled in our office. No straight city water is used in your mouth. We will be glad to show you this - just ask!

  • A state of the art communication system is now in place for the entire office. This means that you, our patient will be interrupted minimally. We want to spend our time with our patients and this requires efficiency helped by technology.

  • Our stereo system allows us to play different zones of music. For instance-the patients in the reception area do not have to hear the same music as those in the treatment rooms. Of course this includes a CD player. Feel free to bring your favorite CDs or tell us your preferred radio station.

  • A complete library of ADA tapes is available for your viewing on one of our many TVs. No question is a silly one. If you would like more information on a topic, please ask us!

  • Our air abrasion machine is a top of the line piece of equipment that our patients love. This machine is nicknamed the "sandblaster". By using small sandy particles with technology this machine blasts away smaller areas of decay WITHOUT USING A SHOT OR THE DRILL. That's right! Now you know why it is a patient favorite.

At times we broadcast 30 second TV commercials on various stations and talk radio commercials. You may have already seen or heard of us!
